We always worry about what others think about us. We develop a habit in which, we develop the habit of taking others approval. If you constantly worry about what others think about you , you will always remain a prisoner of their judgment. From the clothes we wear to our thoughts and actions, we tend to focus excessively on others’ opinions. This not only suppresses our true selves but also fills us with fear and insecurity. It prevents us from expressing ourselves freely. We begin to live by others’ standards.

The harsh truth is that others do not necessarily hold opinions about us based on who we truly are. Their opinions are often shaped by their own past experiences, expectations, and biases. No matter how hard we try to please them, it will never be enough. We may have lived our entire lives trying to be good in others’ eyes.

There are several ways to free yourself from the chains of others’ judgment:

  • Understand your true values.
  • Strive to become better in the areas you genuinely care about.
  • Acknowledge and accept that you are responsible for your feelings and choices.
  • No one else can carry the burden of your life, nor should they have the power to control it.

Also remember, nothing is permanent, and everything changes. Don’t pressure yourself just to gain others’ approval.
